Particle analysis

Complementary physical and chemical information for globular and non-globular particle systems

What is particle analysis ?

Particle analysis is one of the main tasks in research fields ranging from Materials and Environmental Science, to Foodtech, Biotech and Pharma. It offers complementary information as for example about aggregation and particle stability.

Many methods exist for the measurement of particle size and the choice depends on the expected range of the investigation. Detection techniques vary from dispersion analysis to dynamic light scattering, resonant mass measurement and laser diffraction. Automated systems are extremely useful in the measurement of size and shape of heterogeneous systems of particle.

If integrated with Infrared or Raman spectrometers, they provide additional information about particle composition and presence of contaminants.
